INTRODUCTION:
Matheran refers to the forests on the hills. Matheran Hills are located in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, in the western ghats. It is a beautiful hill station and a place where you can experience nature in all its glory.
The hill station is about 90 kilometres from Mumbai and 120 kilometres from Pune. This place is good for all-year vacations. It offers a relaxing experience in the summer, tranquilly in the winter, and the best views during the rainy season. So if you want a break from your stressful life, you can come here and have a wonderful camping experience.
Yes, you read that right: Matheran camping. Natan is popular and will have the opposite effect on you. There is beautiful vegetation and wildlife near the park. You will be able to enjoy nature and spend time in its presence. Itinerary
Day 1:
1:00 p.m.: Take in your personal observations and record them.
4:00 to 5:00: After you have hot food and hot tea, baggage and belongings will be transported to the tents set up at the campsite.
7:30 p.m.: Snack Enjoy great place for sunrise and sunset photos. Play volleyball, cricket, and other games, or lie back and relax until the evening.
The campsite will be lit up after dark, and you will feel the cool breeze from Matheran Hills. And now, it’s time to gather around the fire and play games like Antakshari, dumb charades, etc.
8:00 p.m.: Hit the dance floor and hit the stage. 9:00 p.m.: Delicious vegetarian food will be served in the dining hall. In the middle of nature, you can enjoy nightclubs and music.
10 p.m.: fireworks and live music (weekends)
Day 2:
Travel from midnight to 12:00 noon
6:30 am: Wake up
7:00 am: Beautiful morning view and sunrise tour.
9:00 a.m.: A hot breakfast awaits you. 11 am: Goodbye. with lots of memories and photos!
How to get to the campground:
When you register, we will provide you with the GPS coordinates of the park. Do not drive directly to the park.
Take public transport to Neral, and then take a taxi to the Dasturi parking lot. If you are driving, please park at Darkuri Doctori. Purchase train tickets (450 rupees each) at the Aman Lodge Station. If the small train is not available, just go to the park, which is a fun trip with friends.
Horses can also be taken, as was the case during British rule in India. From Matheran Market, walk 10 minutes to the park.
